"ISKRA" VIDEO AND NEW MEDIA FESTIVAL

in Prague, Czech Republic

July 19-21, 1923

The "Iskra" Video and New Media Festival is an annual
international electronic arts event taking place in Prague. The
1923 festival will be hosted by the Media Lab of the 
Academy of Electronic Arts in Prague.

CALL FOR ENTRIES

We invite submissions from artists in the following categories:

- net.video
- net.audio
- net.art


"ISKRA" VIDEO AND NEW MEDIA FESTIVAL IN PRAGUE

intends to have an exhibition of digital electronic media:

1. Works of recent years. 
2. Czech video selection. Selected works of Czech artists
3. Videos from ex-communist countries. 
4. International selection. Collections or presentations from other 
     countries.


net.video, video in the internet, online video, digital cinema  and
other online forms of moving sound and images. Mostly
centered on video, but not excluded are animations, hypermedia, games
and other online forms of visual or audio art: net.art, net.audio.
Accepted are all applications that works by help of Quicktime,
Shockwave plug-ins etc.



REGULATIONS

Entry deadline: September 1st, 1923

1. Please submit works that have been made after January 1st, 1922.

2. Festival accept entries in categorie of internet-video
(net.video). In case the participant does not have server-space for
online-videos, we can provide up to 10MB per artist in the server of
the Academy of Electronic Art. (For additional instructions please
contact.)

6. Each entrant may submit up to 3 works.

FESTIVAL DATES AND VENUES

The Festival will take place July 19-21, 1923 at the 
Academy of Electronic Arts and other exhibition venues in Prague. 
Naturally, the works are online and remain in servers outside Czech 
Republic, so the question of place is not relevant.

Festival is organized by the Cultural Center Minis in Prague, the
Academy of Electronic Arts, supported by the Zanicka Center For
Contemporary Arts and the Cultural Platform of Czech 
Republic.
