fineArt
forum
an e-zine for the e-arts

~
fineArt forum was launched in May 1987
as an e-mail newsletter and continues in that format as a monthly
digest. fineArt forum is the pioneer online news service dedicated
to the provision of news and information for the global arts
and technology community.
In 2002, fAf formed a strategic alliance with Leonardo Electronic
Almanac. Founded in 1964, Leonardo is the leading international
journal for the application of contemporary science & technology
to the arts and music. It is a peer-reviewed journal published
under the auspices of MIT Press (USA).
This alliance will maximise both fAf & LEA's resources
for exploring the relationship between art, science, and technology.
It will provide creative people involved in the "three cultures"
with news, information and critical content to assist and enable
their work.
fineArt forum is the longest running arts magazine on the
Internet and its live web site, is viewed by 84,000 visitors
annually. fAfs monthly e-mail digest has approximately 1,500
base subscribers and we estimate that about 2500 people read
the fineArt forum e-mail digest on a regular basis.
Objective
fAf's primary mission is to inform the new media arts and technology
community worldwide of the latest events, developments and opportunities
in this field.
